The new Union South will celebrate its Topping Out building milestone on June 11, 2010.

Make sure you take advantage of your opportunity to leave your mark (literally!)on the new building by signing the beam panels---available throughout campus.

            On April 15, 2010 to officially kick off the 365-day countdown until the new Union opens its doors, students were invited to “Save the Date” on Bascom Hill from 1 to 3 pm.   The UW Marching Band, UW Spirit Squad, and Bucky Badger also joined the festivities.  

            Union staff and students handed out plastic replica hard hats, buttons, magnets and other items encouraging students to “Save the Date” April 15, 2011 – which is when the new building opens next year. 

        .   To further commemorate this event, select Union delis are giving away 365 free cookies the same day:  Badger Market, Ingraham, Engineering Eatery and the Daily Scoop.
